Soft Top, 73-75 Blazer. Softopper Chevy Blazer soft tops are available in black, grey or tan and come standard with lightly tinted rear and side windows. This Blazer soft top will definitely compliment the 2nd generation Blazer summertime experience with the ability to roll up the side and rear panels in a couple minutes or completely retract or remove the soft top in a few more minutes.
***Tops are built to order and currently take 6-8 weeks to receive***
Included is a protective boot cover that MUST be used when driving with the top retracted rear-ward.
Initial installation takes about 90 minutes. The Softopper hardware mounts into the factory hard top bolt locations. There is some drilling into the windshield header where the header snap bar is installed.
The optional Rear Mesh Screen panel is a great add-on option for those times when you want a little air flow in the back of the truck. This panel has fiberglass mesh screening in place of where the rear vinyl window would be. Easily change back and forth between the rear screen and your rear window should the weather change. Great for camping in the summer months. Your dogs will thank you as well! NOTE: When ordering the optional rear screen, you will still receive the standard rear window with the top.
MADE IN THE USA!
INFO: The material used is a premier exterior grade woven automotive convertible fabric with a UV stabilized PVC coating for water resistance, and itself is completely waterproof. It has been proven against wind, rain, sunlight, fading, mildew and rot, and will remain beautiful for years. As with any sewn top there is a chance of thread-wicking at the seams. Some customers report wicking while others never have a problem. The top does include a bottle of seam sealer so if you do see any wicking at the seam, you can apply the sealer to the affected area. Overall the tops keep the truck pretty much weather tight and most people are very satisfied.
The folding frames and bedrails are made with a marine grade aluminum for it's ability to withstand harsh weather conditions, but be strong and lightweight at the same time. Everything on the frame is either aluminum or stainless steel so there is nothing that will ever rust. All of the nylon fittings and fasteners are also used in the marine industry, because of their ability to withstand harsh conditions, much worse than you should ever put your truck through.
When you initially get your Softopper and install it, it may be quite tight. It will stretch out over the first few days and will find it's happy place. After that it should stretch anymore. In cold weather you may notice it gets a little tighter to put on, but not a problem.
