Red Head Steering Gear (2wd & 4wd w/Crossover Steering), 69-76 Blazer

Fits most 1968 – 1976 Chevy and Blazers 2WD or 4WD with Crossover Steering. This steering gear has a nut and washer holding the pitman arm onto the sector shaft. If you have a clamp style pitman arm then you have our part number 2851. You can either order this gear and change the pitman arm or you can order the 2851.

Price is $296 + $300 refundable core charge + $85 shipping which will include shipping to you and a return label for your core steering gear.

This gear is a 15:1 ratio and is stock. If you would like an 18:1, please order this gear – 2850 4T.

PRE-TAPPED PORTS OPTION:
Red-Head offers a porting option for those that are either already running a hydraulic assist steering, or plan to in the future. If you choose to make this upgrade to the box (from the drop down menu), your gear box will come with two pre-drilled and tapped ports with plugs. For clarification, hydraulic assist is NOT something your vehicle would have come from the factory with, rather it is an upgrade that adds a hydraulic ram to the steering linkage to aid in steering. Most vehicles do NOT have this option, thus if you are unsure if you have it, you probably do not
